CFC-USA has declared the month of May as the month dedicated to the poor, the hungry, the homeless, the prisoners and all those deprived of everything God’s children are meant to have and enjoy.
The month of May offers us a precious opportunity to celebrate these events: CFC ANCOP USA’s “Month of the Poor”, Honoring our Mothers, and Jesus Christ’s Ascension into Heaven.
“Let us not grow tired of uprooting evil from our lives,” embracing fasting in order “to fortify our spirit for the battle against sin,” especially through the sacrament of Confession. “Let us not grow tired of doing good in active charity towards our neighbor,” giving joyfully and generously to others, especially to those in most need.
The Evangelization Rally is the first assembly held at the beginning of the year. It aims to lead God’s people to understand CFC’s directions, goals and the community’s response to the challenge of evangelization. It also hopes to inspire the congregation and excite the leaders and members to be bold in sharing the gospel to bring more people to the church and the community of couples for Christ. It introduces and expounds on the CFC theme of the year, which is CHRIST HEALS and the anchor verse is 2 Chronicles 7:14 (as above).
