I know it’s February, but since this is the first ROH of 2017, let me greet you all a Happy New Year! Well, February is the Chinese New Year, so Kung Hei Fat Choy!
Who made New Year resolutions at the start of the year? Who already broke their resolutions? Don’t worry, because I will suggest that you have a new set of resolutions that will be hard to break because you will hear it the whole year.
It goes like this: “Be on your guard, stand firm for the faith, be courageous, be strong. Your every act should be done with love”.
This was the last message/exhortation of St Paul in his first letter to the Corinthians taken from 1 Corinthians 16:13-14, which is also our CFC theme for 2017. We are indeed blessed to have elders in our community who with the guidance of the HS has discerned a theme for 2017, through an anchor Scripture verse that is not only relevant but very timely.
