Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
Greetings of peace and love for 2015!

Year 2014 closed with acts of benevolence and kindness from you. For those kind acts, especially aimed at the poor, whom no less than Jesus Christ kept emphasizing in His Words, we wish to thank each and every one of you immensely.

Let me share with you the highlights of our work for the poor in 2014.
In 2014, through your care and compassion, we were able to continue to respond to various catastrophes both in the Philippines and in the USA. It included our continuing assistance to those affected by Typhoon Yolanda in 2013 and the most recent Typhoon Hagupit. We were able to raise and give out a total of $300,000 or (P43M) to the poor victims of those calamities.
Disaster Relief

ANCOP USA provided Medical/Dental Mission in the province of Iloilo in February 7-12, 2014 serving some 10,000 typhoon victims who are residents of the municipalities of Mina, Dumangas, Barotac, Viejo, Concepcion and Carles (including Higante Island). It was participated by a 31-member medical team from the U.S. and 36 local physicians, dentists and nurses.
ANCOP USA · completed the construction of 20 new homes in Southern Leyte to jumpstart the rebuilding process for Typhoon Yolanda victims.

In 2014, through your kindness and generosity, we were able to continue to sponsor 500 students through our Child Sponsorship Program in the Philippines.
We have launched a new program named Cornerstone, a program that provides tutorial classes for grades two to three. ANCOP USA sponsored three school sites located in Laguna, Las Piñas, and Samar.

We also continued supporting our local missions such as the Piarist School in Martin, Kentucky, and the after school program at Jacksonville, Florida. In 2014, we also started a pilot program to keep Catholic schools from closing down. We started with St. Catherine of Siena School in Reseda, California where our CFC Youth spearheaded an effort to raise funds by conducting a “Liveloud” concert for the benefit of the school. It resulted with ten students being sponsored to continue their catholic education at St. Catherine of Siena School. Fr. Paul Greisgraber, parish priest at St. Catherine of Siena Church, talked about our effort when ANCOP was featured at EWTN last December 30, 2014.

Just as the year closes and through the Catholic Charities here in the USA, we were introduced to CARS, an organization that helps the Catholic Charities in various dioceses process their vehicle donations. ANCOPUSA was able to collaborate with them and it gave birth to our new vehicle donation program. Please visit our website for more information. This news was so exciting that even before we got the flyer done, people started to donate their vehicles.

With all these wonderful things unfolding in ANCOPUSA, please know that your kindness during this difficult time has meant so much to many families. I just want to take this opportunity to convey that you have made an impact on them. Because of your continuing support, you were able to provide shelter to hundreds of families, sent hundreds of children to school, grant hope to those who fell victim in the various natural calamities that devastated many families.

As I have mentioned in my Christmas message, it is truly a tremendous privilege for me to serve alongside all of you. Thanks for being part of a great team in ANCOPUSA and for giving your best effort for His greater glory. With God as our guiding light and inspiration, together, we can continue what we started as we take ANCOP USA to deeper waters.
On behalf of ANCOP USA, I wish you and your loved ones a more blessed and healthier New Year. I would like to end by sharing with you what Pope Francis said in his Christmas message…

“May the power of Christ, which brings freedom and service, be felt in so many hearts…may this divine power, by its meekness, take away the hardness of heart of so many…may His redeeming strength transform…hatred into love and tenderness…then we will be able to cry out with joy – Our eyes have seen Your salvation.”

Your brother in Christ,
