DESCRIPTION:Gift of Life USA presents “Wellness in the Family,” a guided conversation about mental health and the family. Whether you know of someone struggling with mental health issues (e.g., depression and/or anxiety) in or outside of your family, our goal is to raise awareness and educate about mental health and the role of the family; reflect on how we are called to support individuals experiencing mental health conditions; and, model healthy dialogue about mental health. Family, along with faith, are protective factors that can help individuals with mental health issues learn to thrive no matter their given circumstances. We invite you all into this conversation, especially as Christians, we are called to take action in caring for ourselves–mind, body and soul–and each other.
